Has anyone attended any of these workshops? If so, do I need to bring my computer & camera?

They are amazing courses to attend. Nope, don't need a laptop or camera as it'll just take up too much of your learning time. Take notes.......as they hand out booklets filled with neat info and a CD too. Have fun.

I found a list that confirms that I don't need to take a computer because they will give all kinds of hand-outs. I can't go and not take a camera, because you never know what you might see there!

I recently attended the one here in San Jose. No need for a camera, though I did bring a G9 with me to shoot some cloud shots during the lunch break (it was a stormy week). Otherwise, you are at a table in a dim room watching slides and listening to the speakers.
The handout matches the slides and has generous margins for taking notes. I still had a notebook with me but could have made do without. So you could easily get away with just bringing a writing implement. And for the record, it was a really, really good seminar. Content, pacing and timely breaks made it fly by without being overwhelming. I'd highly recommend them. |
