Default New Camera Decision / Can U Help

Okay I am off to get me a new camera Friday, the two models I am looking at currently are both Cannon’s. (1) 60D and (2) T3i
I also plain on keeping my Rebel XT as of right know.
I am still new to photography and don’t want to go over board nor do I want to wish later on that I got something a little better.
That being said I will be shooting my kids and them playing sports, landscapes, birds and food.

I like to hike so the camera will be with me in my pack.

Has anyone used these and can let me no the pro and cons of them?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd upgrade to the 60D, personally.

Agreed with Adam. No point in having two Rebels, really.

I love my 60D. I held the others, rebel models but they just felt cheap in comparison. I think next I am going to get a 5d mark ll, or the Nikon d7000 I originally wanted.
