I get what your all saying. That theyre still looking like ok shots. Not something that fabulous. These two are I think some of my worst as of lately. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell a story with my shots. I had this photographer friend that was kinda helping me, when I first got interested in photography. He was barely old enough to be my father ( I'm in my 20's, he was in his 40's. ) and had a "thing" for me. But he was a really good photographer. He left Lowe's to go back to it, and last I knew worked for Olan Mills division of landscape and wedding photography. But he tried to teach me the RoT, and not just using it for one thing, but how to use it for say, three things all in the same photograph. Things got too weird though,..he asked me to go on a hike with him to one of his favorite spots to shoot up in the Smoky Mtn Park. Needless to say, I declined. If he was more of a fatherly type figure, I might have gone, and wished that I really couldve learned more from him.

I think that we have to keep in mind that as we learn more, our standards go up. We do get critical and that is good, as that means we are getting better "eye" for our photos and our expectations of ourselves. We push ourselves to produce better results, even though it means that it can discourage us.

Maybe we've outgrown our old eyes and looking for new a new set, a new point of view, a fresh way of seeing things.

What I guess we lack when we get to this point is inspiration.
