Default Splash/welcome page for wifi hot spot - how to?

You know how when you log in to some WiFi hot spots you get a welcome page with TOU, etc?

Anyone know how to do that on a personal WiFi router?

I'd like to be able to allow access to my lan for viewing of photos and have a splash screen pop up when folks connect to the router.

Something like this: WIFI HOTSPOT SETUP - How to setup your own WIFI Hotspot service with Hotspot System? that I could set up myself.

No actual internet access will be available, only access to my LAN and proofing.

Setup a server (windows or linux) to control user auth on the router, although most consumer routers will not have this ability in them.

You will need a hot spot access point to put in front of it.. Once you do that, then you can set up the access page, its part of the hot spot features..

Something like this..

DD-wrt can be loaded onto many routers to enable this directly.

Cool. My router isn't compatible, but that doesn't mean I can't get on that is.
