Default Lessons Learned from first shoot..

Well I had my first shoot yesterday, the warehouse shoot. After I loosened up and actually took a picture it was a blast! Learned a ton and had a great time. (important detail there)

Couple things I learned:

1. SHOOT! The button on the camera is there for a reason, use it.

2. I need better lights. My little cheapo hot lights are great in the house or a small room but on a location shot, they just don't do it at all! And lighting is what it is all about. Going to have to get a nice set of Einstein's someday, But for now am going to invest in two saltboxes and another flash holder and try using just the off camera flash's

On a side note the Einsteins v2 with the new pocket wizard system is amazing! A fellow photographer there, let me shoot with his lights. I want so baldly, but the cost is no way at the moment.. Being able to control the lights from the commander unit on the cam is awesome. tweak here tweak there, all without moving from your shooting position or making the model stay in a pose to long.. (like on I had in a nighty laying on a thin sheet on the cold concrete)

I will get a couple shots up in the critique section later today once I edit them. Just wanted to get this post out there and say thanks to all who encouraged me to go for it and have fun...

This reminds me of my first photoshoot:

What I learnt from yesterday's shoot....

It's always good to keep notes that you can refer to for later reference.
