Default Personal projects - who has one.

Just wondering how many of you have personal projects and what they are.

I am just starting another one, my last photography personal project ended about 3 years ago. I am doing portrais of the people in my town, a sort of portrait of a town through portraits of the community thing. I want to go for more of a arty style like what i see in the galleries and extend myself a bit.

What about you guys?

Yep, I'm re-creating famous photos, paintings, etc with dogs.

This is from a test shot:

It's preparation for "Afghan Hound" which will use an actual Afghan Hound.

Girl with Pearl Earring might be up next.

Yep, I am doing a project I'm pretty sure I will be calling "Broken". I've been keeping my eyes open for old, damaged, rusty, ruined, "broken" stuff. Processing with some heavy HDR type effects to bring out the rust/texture that I've been seeing in these damaged items. I have travelled many backroads and talked to many farmers/homeowners and asked to walk around their property when I find something I like! Also, our local Midwest Recycling Center--aka-- it's a "junkyard" has become one of my weekly drive-by's! Here's one from awhile ago

When I decide I'm done I'm going to create some Coffee Table Style Photobooks for Christmas gifts! That's my project for now

Nice Thread Idea!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Be sure to take a lot of close in images for textures while you're at it!

Thanks Jim, It has been a fun project so far. The idea all kind of started with that old truck and has turned into my weekend adventure with my husband! He drives and I look for old stuff I kind of like having him along; I've met some very "interesting" (read: weird) people!

This is just hysterical, Jim. I have studied the art classics for years and it's about time someone took a skewer to them. I look forward to seeing more from this series.

If I can get enough well-trained subjects, I may do The Last Supper.

It's fun looking at the classics and trying to see what can be done with dogs.

How about a bunch of dogs sitting 'round playing poker!

Oh, wait....
