Default Mind is blown: domain name confusion!!

Since my username is madiator (I use it almost everywhere, including Flickr), I wanted to get mediator dot com, eh no, madiator dot com but I know for a fact that people keep confusing madiator with mediator. For the love of God I cannot understand how they confuse the two

So I have to get some other domain name. Since I am not doing any commercial work, but would mostly use the domain to put some pics and then print moo cards and keep pushing them to others, I am wiling to experiment with domain names that are not your standard bobphotography dot com or creativeflash dot com etc. (but probably might do some commercial later, but not as main business). Also, my first and last names are obnoxiously long (it takes about five minutes for people to read it aloud, so I will ditch the idea). So I have a spare domain in my name: mindisblown dot com (yes, thats right, is your mind blown away?). Do you think its a good idea to use it? I like it, its catchy, but somewhat not so serious. And whichever domain I finally use, I might want to use it also as my main domain (email id, random non-photography blog etc.) Or any other suggestions?

i'm quirky, so I would definitely consider using mindisblown.com.

but that's just me. i haven't even attempted to be "professional" when it comes to photography, yet, but mindisblown sounds like a blog that i would read.

go for it, what's the worst that could happen? aren't the actual domain names themselves only like $10/year anyways?

I feel it might be weird to put mindisblown.com on my pics! Probably madiator.com as portfolio site and mindisblown.com to drive traffic (if I post blogs regularly)?

LoL thanks, I just discovered that swissjon.com was available.. It isn't any more he he..

I like mindisblown or something else made from englishwordsbunchedtogether.com, so long as they're easy to spell and not ambiguous. You're going to find it far easier to drive traffic to an easy to spell, easy to remember URL. What kind of photography do you like? Perhaps you should base your domain name round that and use your username to drive traffic to your other domain name.
