I just got my new EF 50mm 1.8 in the mail today from B&H. I just had to share this information with someone who cares. I told my wife and kids and they responded with things like "great" (insert sarcasm), and "wow" (again with the sarcasm). I'm singing and dancing but can't find anyone around here to share my joy. Just sayin'

Yay you! (no sarcasm)

You'll love it - the ol' nifty fifty is great fun.

And I know how you feel. No one in my family 'gets it' either.

None photographers will never understand of the thrill of opening the box and holding a newly purchased lens or camera body in their hands for the first time.

This is so true.

I worked second shift, and have gone into work late waiting on the big brown truck to drop off those wonderful black, and gold Nikon boxes from B&H.

It sucked that I would have to leave as soon as they got here thou.
