Cool! With my luck it will be cloudy. I remember seeing the moon in the day once when I was a kid. Not sure of it's phase though. It must have been around 84. It was on the horizon as my father was driving along in the car, and the atmospheric conditions must've been just right. It was bigger than I've ever seen it since. Pick a two lane road, and walk about 150 feet back from a hilltop on the road. It was wider than the road. I'm talking "when worlds collide" large. When we turned off the road and it went behind the trees, by the time I saw it again it was normal sized.
I saw mars years later (or maybe Venus?) either way it was almost as large as the moon. I pointed at it and said "what the hell is that?", to which my friend replied "the moon dumb a$$." then I pointed at the moon and said "that's the moon, what's that other thing." we read about it the next day. Some weird atmosphere thing again.

It'll be cool as long is does not bring the predicted earthquakes.

I remember seeing a huge moon rise one evening as a child. Same thing - it only lasted a few minutes then it rose up higher and became normal size. It was scary.

Default Thanks for posting that clip!

I'll get all of my lenses ready. I posted a photo of the last full moon we had in February, 2011 and I would most certainly enjoy clicking on this one! Thanks again for the post.

I guess it depends on what time it hits The moon man is predicting another shake on the 20th - chances are good I'll be standing on a street corner on the cordon somewhere - will definitely keep an eye out for falling bricks!
