Default Red Carpet Oscar Shoot

So I was offered to come shoot the red carpet in Philly tomorrow for Oscar Night and then at the end shooting an interview with Michael Vick from the Eagles. I'm gonna use my 24-70mm 2.8 and a flash. Any suggestions when shooting something like this? I'm sure it will take me a few shots to get the flash to where I want it but just wondering if anyone has any other tips.

Does the flash have TTL functions? If so, just leave it in that, and use some kind of diffuser if you can.

Yes just have to remember to switch the camera to TTL cause I'm using strives in a studio right before I head to this. And go figure I haven't had to wear a suit in 3 years so nothing fits good. Looks like dress pants, dress shirt and a tie. Couldn't get the jacket to fit. Lol hope that flies. I hate when I get invited to things last minute. But it should be awesome.

Sounds interesting about the Red Carpet. Vick can crawl in a hole and die for all I care.
