Default Would like to do a online step by step course, need opinions
Hi there. I am new to the forums and I have a Cannon Powershot SX20IS.

I am looking to joining a online program. I want something that will help me start out. I really don't know much about the camera or photography. I enjoy taking beautiful pictures and can take some really good ones. I just want something that will help a beginner.

Does anyone have any programs/classes that started you out?

I am looking to join the Stratford Career Institute Online Photography course. Just wondered if anyone has done anything like this or has done this one. Thanks!

You know, I used to mock photography classes (especially online courses) because you can't learn nearly as much as you can by just reading and taking a lot of pictures.....

But looking back I took photography in JrH/HS and without that very basic foundation I think all of the other learning I have done would have been much more difficult....

I say "go for it" (no experience with it myself)...

That said, if you are determined you can learn it all online, right here.
