Default Nokia N 8

Does anybody have the N8 ,do you have any regrets buying this phone? I was going to buy one because of its excellent 12megapixel camera and hdmi recording capability, after reading some owners comments on other sites i think i will cancel the order.Lots of comments regarding the poor performance of the internet software ,crashes, freezing ,poor battery performance .My use of such a phone would be mostly photos, text messages and of course phone calls .I am way out of my field with all of this internet through the phone stuff so i was wondering if anybody had this phone ?I am so out of date my present phone is 7 year old Nokia ROFLAO Thanks for any replies, Kym

Many new Nokias have issues with their firmware (bugs, etc.) but that's why firmware updates are released. Generally speaking, they fix the bugs with new firmware updates. It's like they don't have the time to fine tune the softwares so they just release them and fix them later.

I have a Nokia N8 and the phone works fine. Email works OK and you are better off to use Opera to access the Internet. Nokia Symbian software sucks. Using the keyboard in portrait mode is a joke. I cannot see why Nokia keep the Symbian IT architect & team leader in their payroll for so long.

Photo Apps: I like the Panorama app.

Regret? None since it is my secondary phone and I bought it just to have a good Smartphone camera. Here's a cropped image I used to create a calibrated camera profile.
