Default I'm thinking about splitting my Flickr photostream into two, what are your opinions?

Hello everyone,

This idea has been in my head for a while now, and I'm becoming more and more tempted to do it. During the last year, I have realised which types of photography I'm really into.
The first is fine landscape photography and the second is street, aka life photography.
I like them both and would like to continue practising both.
I know other people who also do few types of photography and separate them in sets (on Flickr).
What I don't like about keeping both in one photostream is the fact that I can't organise the front/main page, ie. the photos are sorted only by upload date. Also, when someone opens the page, they see me neither as a landscape nor as a street photographer, but something mixed.

I thought about opening a new account, the old one would be named Milos Kondic Landscape Photography and the new one Milos Kondic Street Photography. I would reupload street images to the new one (I know, and loose all the comments...) and send a pm to my contacts notifying them of the change.

What do you think about this, is it a good move?

What's the problem with being mixed? I shoot different stuff all the time, and I wouldn't really want people to only see one aspect of my work.

I think sets are the way to go, because you can set it up to display your sets on the front page, so people interested in landscape can check that stuff out, and vice versa. Or people can view them both separately, whatever they like.

Thats what I do. I have mine set up into different sets. But then again, I dont use Flickr to show my work, just for storage and having them in sets certainly makes them easier to find. Especially when you have ten thousand or so...........................

I don't mind it being mixed on the same web page, but just on the first page. I see that a drawback of this may be that not everyone (the people that don't know me) would visit my other photostream, thus limiting my exposure. I'll try creating sets and experimenting with different layouts and see how it goes. Thanks
