Hello everyone!
I'm a college student, and was told that there are no recognized photography organizations in campus. I was also told that it would be nice if I could start a group by summoning a meeting and go on form there, depending on how many people show up. I have no experience in organizing events or such, but I remain interested in the idea that a group could be started. Any suggestions as of how I may even begin the whole process? Thanks in advance. PS. Check out my introduction thread

IF I were you -
I would try to find some other people who are interested, or some friends to help you. I would make fliers for a meeting, and pick some good times for people to meet - and meet at the local student union building. Put the fliers up at the dorm bulletin boards, ask the people at the cafeteria and student union buildings. Consider asking your student government for help - or possibly a campus activities board if such a thing exists. Does your school have an arts department? Dont forget there - if there are any photography teachers on campus - check their office hours and see about having them help / offer advice / let their students know. |
