Default Photo blogs to help me stay awake

My little maniac toddler is running around and refuses to nap, whilst I am holding on to dear life trying to stay awake.

Do you have any photo blogs of your own I could look at? I am prolifically looking at photography reading materials at the moment, hoping I can get insights and learn more. Being such a newbie and untrained, I vowed I would do something to get better. I want to deserve my gears. At the moment, my equipment is better than me. It's time to end that!

So would you kindly entertain me and share a little bit of your photo blog world if you have any?

Cheers!

My 2.5 yr old toddler has just caught me dozing for I don't know how many minutes on the chair and I woke up with her blankie on me and her plush toy monkey named "ooooo oooo aaaah aaaah".

If only I could capture such moments on camera when I'm asleep.....

Strobist.com if you're into lighting or want to get into it.

Many thanks for the blogs suggested!

That Cambridge In Colour site is BRILLIANT! They explain things very, very well and I'm looking forward to reading everything on that site!

I've also had Strobist.com bookmarked for near future reference when I'm ready to dig in to flash and lighting. I've yet to digest to Aperture and Shutter Priority, etc. I'm scared of flash (and not a big fan of it) but I'm beginning to change my attitude towards it

If you havn't already, you could try ausphotography.net.au. There is lots of info on there especially in the library. I post on there under the same user name.
Toddlers are very tiring. When my children were little & I was exausted I had a room with a single bed & safe toys. I would close the toddlers & myself in there & could doze knowing they were safe. Now they are adults & have babies of their own

Whimps! While my wife was in the Navy (1977-1997) I had to watch the kids and freelance at the same time. And we didn't have the WWW back then. Sure am glad the baby is the only one left at home and he's 17, ready to graduate and join the USMC wrestling team.

I agree. The site is superb; one of my very favorites. The photos are so spectacular and the folks who post there will teach you a lot.

For learning purposes with minimal gear, you might want to consider a super book: Amazon.com: Just One Flash: A Practical Approach to Lighting for Digital Photography (9781608952502): Rod Deutschmann, Robin Deutschmann: Books

Here is another one of my favorites, especially for landscapes: The Luminous Landscape

Be sure to take some “mommy time” or you may go nuts. Little children are wonderful, but they can be wearing, while care of them tends to not stimulate the intellect.

You guys rule!!

And I'm quite excited now, too, as I just got a 50mm macro f/2.5. Now I know this isn't the best, but this was given to me and I am over the moon to finally have such lens (my first prime lens, too)!

Now off to learn my "new" 40D and lens
