Default Hi everyone, question about a book

I'm new to the site and been posting in sports which is my passion and have been reading alot on the subject. I have shot mostly film and only recently digital. Well I think I know what it feels like to be a time traveler and woke up 30 years in the future All that to say this, I want a good book to have as a reference for digital photography. I was recomended the 123 of digital imaging by Vincent Bockaert. Does anyone have this book and is it that good?

Randy

What is it that you are having trouble with? As a film shooter, every thing about recording an image on digital is pretty much the same. You have to learn the ins and outs of how your particular camera works, but that is obvious. For many, the trouble comes from developing your image on the computer.

I speak, you give me to much credit, I shoot, I crop, and I print. Anything else is greek to me. I need some meat and potatos to chew on. Image noise, Bit depth, Image posterization, jpeg and tiff files. I uploaded my first picture to the web last year. I hope you get the picture. So, do you have any knowledge of the book "123 Digital imaging" or any recommendations ?

Hi Randy i have this on disc and found it to be a help with getting my head around all this technology .I too was in the same boat as you .It is easy to use with a simple format that gives you 3 choices (beginner ,intermediate, advanced )so as your skills progress you can pick the level you are comfortable with.I hope this helps you out . Thanks Kym for the response, I'm glad to here from someone who got the disk. I thought it would be a great reference and I'd spend that much on on 2 books anyway.
