Default Dieing to go take pictures....

I had a spinal fusion two weeks ago and have been housebound ever since. I missed the big blizzard in the midwest (that was the day of my surgery and was in the hospital for 4 days after) and didn't get to take any pictures of the snow. I "lost" my driving privledges for 2 weeks due to surgery, hope to get it back tomorrow at my post op appt. It was so hard to sit here knowing that if I was able to take a drive I would have gotten some good pictures of the snow and whatnot. I want so bad to get to taking pictures and continue to learn how to use my camera! I can only take so many pictures of things around the house (although i DID master water drops in the sink!!)

Just had to vent....keeping fingers crossed that the doc switches me to meds that are non-narcotic so I can drive again and go take pictures!!!!

While you're housebound why not try and create some still life shots from various things you have around the house.

Best wishes with your recovery. Don't over do it though, you don't want to take 1 step forward and then 2 back and end up house bound again.

I feel for you,... really I do. I discovered that I just can't seem to get inspired to learn anything about my camera, unless I'm taking shots of things that I love to photograph. If I'm not into it, I don't wanna do it, unless it's an absolute necessity. My job, house work, and paying bills, I no love. Necessity? Yes. So it must be done.

Taking photos of new places to me, the active streets of a busy city, big important beautiful buildings that have big important people in them, in a city with a rich history. The interesting people that make up that city. The beautiful-ness of Mother Gaea in ALL of her many glorious forms. My kitties being cute. These are a few of my favorite things to point my camera at, and press the shutter.

I can't do,..... Stuck in the house, trying to get inspired by the things around me to take a photo of SOMETHING! Only when I get an idea in my head of something I want to do, will I attempt it. I hate being stuck indoors. HATE IT!! Hate it when my car is down for some reason. Hate relying on other people to take me somewhere when I want to go somewhere.

Hope you feel better soon. Hope the doctor allows you to be able to drive again. Hope you get the shots you want. Good Luck!! * Thumbs up and crossed fingers*

Well I got my driving privledges back, but I also got a nice back brace that I have to wear. I attempted to drive today, and its a no go. Hurts too much and the brace won't let me sit the right way. Darn it!! Guess its time to find some household items to snap pics of. My neighborhood has nothing fun to take pics of. grrrr
