Hi Peter and welcome to DPS.

Short answer is 4gb is good for now. But it also depends on what you shoot. For portrait guys like me, it'd be enough on most days.. on the other hand, I have shot 16gb worth of images in one session (a wedding)... so it'll eventually depend on what you shoot, so it's hard for any of us to give you the correct answer to that one.

As for lenses, and I'm going to sound like a smart ass, but you can use any lens you want/can afford. The question is what you're going to do with it. It's more important for you to learn your camera/lens now before worrying about other lenses. Having said that, I always suggest newbies get a 50mm lens to practice getting used to not being able to always zoom with the lens, but to zoom with you feet. You can't go wrong with one of the cheapy 50mm 1.8 lens. As for the rest.. it really depends on what you end up shooting. No point telling you to use a 70-200 if you never need that focal range.
So maybe you can be more specific about your quesetion because asking "what can I use".. well you can technically "use" them ALL if you have the budget, but won't matter if you don't know how as there's no correlation between quality of lens and difficulty to use.
