The best way to tell when the assignment starts and finishes is by looking at the name of the thread (which is where you need to post). For example:
http://digital-photography-school.co...eb-2-16-a.html Is this week's thread. Your photo needs to have been taken between 2 February and 16 February 2011. Assignment threads are posted on Wednesdays, and also close on Wednesdays. They "close" at 8am GMT. It you post after that, your photo won't be included in the mini-contest. You need to hit the "Reply" button in the assignment thread and include the things asked for in the first post: (1) the name of the assignment, and (2) the date the photo was taken. The easiest way to post a picture in the assignment is through Flickr, and we have a tutorial for how to do that here: Posting Photos from Flickr [July 2010 Update] Hope that helps, feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Fortunatly you answered me because I was really feeling invisible ![]() ![]() Thank you to help... edit: Thank you for the Flickr, it is done just waiting moderation hoping it is in time... 14th 6:05 is that in time please...? Ah, I forgot about the weekend challenges that go up on the blog. Those ones do go up on Friday and end on Monday.
The assignments I was thinking of (and talking about in my first reply) are the ones that are here: Digital Photography Assignments With the blog ones, you can post any time, there's no time limit on those. I'm not sure why your comment on the blog post hasn't been moderated though. That I don't have access too. It's a very neat photo though.

I am not sure to anderstand well. You say that:
With the blog ones, you can post any time, there's no time limit on those and this: Those ones do go up on Friday and end on Monday Is there a limit of time or not? And what means that? It's a very neat photo though (I am not sure of the translator, I don't anderstand all and need sometimes that but I am never sure it is the good translation... I am so sorry... Edit 1:I just want to precise that the translator says in french and in the meaning something like that: "it's a very sharped photo, even if..." and I wanted to be sure it is that you want to say... Also I would like to know where I could have more explanation about the weekly challenge "where I live" and generaly about the functionement of those challenges. I would be very thankfull if you could help me knowing a free translator which could translate a full page in once (I hope my english is enough clear...) or giving different versions of translation. Like that I would not need to bored anyone asking explanation but more talking photography... Edit 2: Forget for the translator I think I will manage with reverso which is exactly what I need (long text and other proposition of word for some when it is possible...) Nicole, I have found rules for the forum and I think I have anderstood that I should not put the image here because I put it also in an other thread, am I right or wrong? I can take it off when you have answered me if necessary.
I sad I found the rules but not for the Weeekly Photography Challenge, so if someone has any link to that rules that would be very helpfull...

Oops, sorry for the delay. Missed it. And on re-reading my answer, totally confusing. So, let me try again.
There are two potential assignments that relate to DPS. 1. The weekend assignments which are posted on the blog on Fridays (for example: Romance: Weekly Photography Challenge) 2. The weekly assignments which are posted in the forums on Wednesdays (all weekly assignments are in this forum: Digital Photography Assignments). Weekend Assignments (Type 1):
And my comment "It's a very neat photo" simply means that I like the photo that you linked to.

My question is.."Where do you find the results?" I have been looking all over the forums and can't find them.
Are the results posted in the original assignment thread? I have only entered last weeks assignment (The Weather Outside) and am not sure where to look for the final result. thanks for you help. |
