Default Anybody else LOVE junk store shopping?

I went to the best junk store in my area today and they had a whole box of those newborn knit hats that sell on Etsy for around $20.....for $1 each! I could not believe it. I almost bought the whole box, but some of them were pretty ugly colors. So I just picked out 10. Now I need a baby to model them for me. Umm..I mean, I need to borrow a baby...I don't need one to keep. Heck NO!

I also go a soft ottoman cube for $2. Well, it is soft on the outside but structured on the inside. It is denim but I plan to make a bunch of cool slipcovers for it. I wasn't as excited about this as with the hats, but still a good find.

Do you like to go junkin'? What the best thing you have found?

I've found some great old lenses that way. Quite cheap and in excellent condition!

I love hitting the junk store's and flea markets in this area. It's been an awesome place to find cool and fun props! Those hats are cute, and for a buck? You found a great deal, and that ottoman doesn't sound like too bad of a find either!

I go to the local garbage dump for food. You won't believe what people throw away!

I peruse the local pawn shop on occasion, looking for lenses, and other stuff. Goodwill/Salvation Army is sometimes even a good place to find some hard to find items. I donate more than I buy, but on occasion you can find some treasure. Antique stores that arent over priced- LOVE those.

LOL- If I had a Canon, I'd want to go shopping at Jims house.

I love love love to go "junking" ! Today my mom and I went to goodwill and another mission store and got some great buys on work clothing for the husbie and myself! I also got 4 magazine holders for $.50 each to hold my Photography mags! Spent a total of about $45 but had my jeep cherokee loaded down!!
