Cool I am new...HELP

I am testing out diff editing software. I find photoshop so hard...Picnik is easy and great but not on pro level like I want to practice with. Is there anything in between? Is OnOne photo suite easier than photoshop?

Pick up the Visual Quickstart series for Photoshop. Link
When I was in school my teachers all swore by the Visual Quickstart books. And I gotta tell you, They're right! Get this book and follow it exercise by exercise and you won't be freaked out by Photoshop anymore. I still have my copy of Photoshop 7. You can have it for free! Just pay shipping.

The PS processing program with the lowest learning curve is Adobe’s Lightroom. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3

It does most of what PS does and is much more intuitive. You can download it for a month and test. It is integrated with all Adobe programs including Photoshop. The only time you will have to use a PS like program is for special editing.

Check out the tutorial videos first and then download. You won’t be sorry.
