Default Here ya go

Some new random shit from the internet, FYE. My Mom sent this to me in an email, so I YouTubed it. I'd be on cloud 9 if it were me.

This unique video is of a tourist who sat on the beach to watch the seals and penguins on Gold Harbor, South Georgia. The seals are huge (6,000 lbs), yet she never seemed afraid...more amused...while someone shot the video of this incident.

Gold Harbor, South Georgia, is located off the southern tip of South America. (sub arctic) It is a small bay five miles S-SW of Cape Charlotte, with Bertrab Glacier at its head, along the east end of Georgia. The west end of the beach where a glacial stream flows is a breeding ground for various types of penguins and large seals....It is not a frequent destination for tourists.

gturner- Of course, as with any case involving wild animals, you ALWAYS have to remember that they are first and foremost a WILD animal. It doesnt matter if theyre socialized or not. Any wild animal that attacks can only ever be accused of following its instincts. When you work with wild animals, you have so much more of an appreciation of what they can do, and you never forget that they are WILD.

Jim- Yeah, I'd be cautiously trying to take some shots. No flash, though.

My favorite quote from the article:

"We believe that it was negligent of the SPCA and CapeNature to not put up boards warning that seals could be dangerous," Ellis said.

Are you kidding me?? How completely moronic do you have to be to not know that a hissing wild animal weighing that much could possibly be dangerous?

I guess its true, common sense isn't so common anymore.
