I have just purchased a k-5 after using a k-200 for a couple of years. It seems the RAW files from the K-5 although the same filetype (PER) are not able to be opened with the software i have been using. ( Stepok raw importer) to convert them to TIFF, then editing with the GIMP. It seems you have to use the Pentax included software to convert RAW files to TIFF. I have been in the habit of storing the RAW files off the computer as a way to create duplicates if required. Is anyone else having this problem, or have i overlooked a camera setting, or should i just lash out and buy CS5?
Any ideas/ recommendations appreciated!!! Top forum too, Lots of information and tips, Thanks for reading... Flickr: the pentax man's Photostream |
