Default Poll: What do you do with your personal pictures?

We do enlarge, mat, frame and hang some of our work here at home, but a relatively small percentage. We probably print 35-40% of our photos to 4x6's, and the remainder just stay resident on our computer. Just wondering what most folks here do with their own personal shots?

I went with the "print a few" option on the poll, even though I have never printed anything as of yet. I would like to at some point though. Nothing I have done yet pleases me enough to hang.

I don't have a printer that works so occasionally I order a few on-line and get them printed that way. Not very often though.

I have printed a few, enlarge one of my fiance that was taken in the Azores and one of my car. I have taken a set of photos of my fiance and her sisters for mothers day which they printed and put into an album. They did enlarge the best one to get framed and I'm hoping with future pictures this trend will continue. My cousin also works for a company that puts pictures onto canvas so I'm having one of our engagement pictures(not taken by me lol) done and two from my last vacation to the Azores. They are going to leave the shots from the Azores in the catalog and split the profit with me if it sells.

Well, it's still somewhat early in this poll, but for the most part nearly 0 people print

I print most and display them, via various media. I LOVE looking through old pictures and it makes me feel sad to think of them languishing on a hard drive.

Some are printed as 7x5, I had a book made of my favourite pictures of my daughter and a canvas made of my favourite picture (also of my daughter ). A few other people asked me to have it made into a canvas for them to display on their walls too (one 40 x 30").

nice, glad to see there are some people that still enjoy hard copy prints. We've done a few new things recently. While visiting the PDN trade show in New York this year, several of the vendors showed some interesting items. Artsy Couture showed their line of gallery blocks and we thought they'd be nice items to offer customers. www.artsycouture.com We ordered one with our favorite subject on it, our daughter Amy. It's a little different than a canvas wrap, a similar look, but mounted and finished on a hard wood board. It's been a great investment. We've since shown it to some recent customers, and several orders have been placed. They also have a very accommodating customer service department. We had received one with a very slight, barely noticeable flaw in it (probably would have gone unnoticed by the customer, but we demand our labs supply us with perfect work)...Artsy shipped us out a replacement without hesitation, and didn't even require the old one back. These are real nice, a little different, ready to hang on the wall, and you can get a premium price for them.

Most of mine live on my computer, but the ones I fall in love with I order enlargements of.

I get a few printed or buy frames. Eventually I intended on making a book/album each year, but I just don't have the money for it at the moment. In the meantime, everything sits on my HD. I do get my pictures printed a LOT for family though, I give tons of our son to my mother-in-law... for birthdays and holidays usually lol
