Default How do I get rid of those stupid pop-downs

I've noticed an increase in those adds that pop-down over your thread. I can't get rid of them. It's annoying and makes it hard to read the whole page. Any help?

Firefox + Adblock plus = not a problem any more.

Do you mean the google ads on the right of this site? If so, I find that if the images posted are kept to 500pix on the longest side, the ad is always outside of the frame of the post. It's only a nuisance when the pictures are larger. I don't know how screen res. would affect it, but if it's happen more frequently than that them maybe screen res. is the problem.

:/ I don't see any. Theres the occasional "post style" ad that comes between posts and that on the right side but no popdowns. Using firefox/chrome and no 3rd party ad blocker.

I have the same problem and it's very aggravating. Is there an adblocker for I.E.?

I've never noticed pop down or pop up ads. Only the ones at the very top, along the side and an occasional one in between responses in threads.

I have popups blocked in IE8 and have never seen what you are talking about.

It doesn't happen all the time. Actually I can't get it to do it at all today. I was gonna try to take a screen shot. Basically it pops up (or down actually) and covers a part of the thread. I have NO idea how to close it....It looks like it comes directly from the website....not as a random pop up ad that you get that you can close by clicking on the X.
