It's been a while since I've posted around here (was never really a daily poster to begin)
I picked up a Nikon D7000 in November and I just got a new 50mm f1.8 lens for it. I was playing around with the video features and my brother and I put this together. Let me know what you think? Made it in about 2 hours with iMovie '09. This video is basically just showing three semi-complex card tricks. It's not really to showcase the camera.

Im not entirely sure what to tell you, so I'll give you my blunt impressions.
It's, well, long. And this is coming from a film student. It reminds me of experimental work, without the experimental part. I saw a lot of black fades. Too many, and too long. The content itself is fairly boring and feels aimless: What's the point? What are you trying to show? If it's just an experiment in using the camera, then say so and show it. If it's experiment in the processing and editing, then I'm underwhelmed. The film just didn't seem to go anywhere. It felt like it had no goal, no purpose.

In that case youre not demonstrating the tricks very well. I kept waiting for things to get interesting, but it was all too slow. Nothing seemed to be happening. Stuff was going on, yes, but nothing was actually happening

From a technical perspective, there were times that the focus seemed to be hunting which took me out of the scene. I know the D7000 will auto-focus during video shooting unlike the older D90/D5000 models, but you might have better luck manually pulling focus.
