The guy comes across as an egotistical, arrogant jackhole. He's taken some photos of a Chrysler 200 ffs. Nobody on Earth was waiting to see his "exclusive unseen images." And fewer people care now that they've seen them. He sounds like he has "celebrity artist" syndrome where his sycophantic entourage has blown smoke up his ass for so long that he actually believes his own publicity.

I would think a job is a job as a photographer. If you are bound by contract to produce images of a product, wether it be a car from Chrysler or of images you were hired to do through Covergirl that may come out in a magazine. The images being leeked without permission is unfair and possibly would get the photographer introuble along with the person in charge of hiring you. Now if this is the case....hmmm I could think of some people ranting much worse. In fact i've seen much worse rants on this site LOL. No offense intended there at all. just somethings like copyrights to a photographers images and contracts and such, usually seem pretty important in the Earn with Photography threads! thats just my take on it. but then again i'm really not into cars at all, and was just looking at it as a photographer hired to produce images for a well known company.

His little rant didn't mention anything about contracts or copyright issues. In fact it sounds like somebody inside the company that hired him leaked the photos. No, he just seems upset that his precious art has been ruined by the blogs using awkward crops and poor resolution - blogs that would be the only places posting his photos anyway.

I think it was leaked from someone inside the company, according to the article. It sounds to me like hes upset that they got leaked before the final editing was done, and now it looks like a smear on his record of great shots. Probably sent to the CEO to get preliminary approval. ??? I could be so far off in left field here,...so correct me if I'm wrong.
Granted, it isnt exactly the photos for the 2008 Chevy Camaro. Now that was something to be anxious for! MmMmMm,....Chevy. |
