Wow! Good for him.

I love Lik’s photos; own his book on Australia.

Great shot, but Im sure there's a clause in the buying contract that says that he can make a print of his own.

Osmosis - why would someone by a photo print for $1 mill and allow the artist to sit at home and keep print them off at will?

Great effort
I fully expect a rush of bad copies to flood DPS in the week ahead.

$1 million....seriously....? I do NOT see any part of that photo worth $1 million. Maybe I'm just blind. People tend to do something so simple and add poetic text such as "I pressed the shutter – once – and then the scene vanished with the morning breeze, never to be seen again" (oooooohhhh)

"Hey, let's charge for that!"

It is amazing what we call talent and place value on...

I like it too. It does look painting-ish, and I like the colors. The artistic impressionist stuff does sound a lil BS-y to me. But hey,...maybe it was one of those spur of the moment lucky shots.

Print one copy FOR HIMSELF. IE the photographer could have a copy of his own, simply for being the creator. It's not like he's churning them out as wallpaper!

My B.S. sense is tingling.

This screams PR stunt. Poetic crap + anonymous buyer = "yeah, right".

Not a single reputable news organization has picked up this story...apparently I'm not the only one sensing it.
