Am I doing something wrong?

I just can't figure it out. I've been trying to upload a pic for my avatar so that I have a picture beside my name. The website won't let me. I've tried pulling one from Flickr and from the file on my computer but it won't let me do either. The file is not too big (I've checdked and double checked). Is it a glitch of the site or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure what problem you may be having. I uploaded mine this morning without trouble once I lowered the pixel count down to 100x100. I wish I could help you...I'm an IT guy and I'm sure we could figure it out.

The profile pic and that avatar (in forum) are separate. You must upload the picture twice to get it on both your profile and the forum. Not sure where the links are. Keep hunting in "customize" I think it is in customize signature.

I see you have your profile picture working, so it might just be a matter of going to the right place in your control panel.

YAY!!!! It worked. Still not sure what I did different because it still came up with a message that said it was a failed attempt but when I came back to check it was here. Thanks!

Have tried loading a picture but keep coming up with an "invalid format" error. I have tried files sizes of 30k and 43k. Downloaded from Flickr The file size is 66x100 for the 30K file and 159 x240 for the 43K file....

The files are on my desktop as thumbnail.jpg and small.jpg

Any ideas?

Your photo needs to be smaller than 80x80 pixels. That's probably what's causing your error.
