Default Sharing from Flickr

I'm new to all this and Flickr. The way shown to share pics from Flickr that is shown in the critique section rules is not how it is done now. Maybe it could be updated for newbies like me.

Glyndavid, I'll do my best.

1. Upload photo to flickr.
2. Above your photo on Flickr are two buttons - "Action" and "Share This" both have drop down arrows.
3. Select "Share This" button.
4. A submenu opens up.
5. Select "Grab the HTML/BBCode" option.
6. A window will open with a code that looks like this mess:
a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos//5338558339/" title="train copy by Got 2 Fly, on Flickr">train copy
7. Below this window is a "Size" window that gives you the photos pixel measurement. Typically "Medium" is the size of choice as "Large" exceeds the 740 pixel limit.
8. Copy the gobbledygook that is in the window. (highlight it and CTRL+C to copy).
9. Now, in a DPS message box (where you start your thread, posts, etc.,) on the top "toolbar" there is a blue/green globe with a chain link in front of it. That is an "Insert Link" tool.
10. Click on the Insert Link tool described above.
11. A window opens up that says "Please enter the URL of your link:" That's the gobbledygook you copied above in step 8.
12. Make sure the "http:" is either gone from that box or at least highlighted in blue so it will disappear when you paste your URL into that window.
13. Paste your URL from step 8 into this field. (to "paste" - CTRL +V).
14. Select "OK" and all that gobbledygook will now apppear in the body of your message surrounded by [URL= [/URL] . That's a good thing as it's the link to your Flickr photo!
15. You can now inspect your progress by selecting "Preview Post" at the bottom of your message. If operation successful, your photo should appear in the body.

Seems like a lot but if you follow it step by step it should be pretty manageable.

Hope this helps, my friend!
Bakeys.

There's no need to insert a link! Just Copy Paste the HTML/BB code.

Thanks for that, I worked it out in the end. That isn't how it seems to be in the instructions on how to share from Flickr in the 'critique' section, unless I really am having a bad grey day.
