Hi
I've been in photography for a few years now but second half of 2010 was pretty disappointing for me. I just couldn't get enough ideas/motivation to go out and take pictures for some reason. This is strange though cos I'm finally at a stage where I can take reasonably good pictures. I've even been able to sell a few pictures at macro stock site. But motivation has waned a bit but I'm keen on bringing it back on track. So coming to the topic, has anyone read Artist's Way by Julia Cameron? I think it's one book that may get my excitement going again. What were your thoughts if you've read it? Is it applicable to photographers? Cheers |

Personally, My "excitement" had waned a log time ago....I dont take a lot of pictures because the outcome is known.....To some extent I wish I didn't know the outcome.....maybe then I would give it a chance and be proven wrong....I will say regardless of what you think you know, you can always learn something new...

Which reminds me that I should go through it again. It really helped me with unlocking creativity. My focus at that point was writing fiction, but really, it doesn't matter what your creative focus is.
