Having looked through the photographer's website and Facebook pages, I can imagine what FB saw as being inappropriate, and I can't say that I blame them, tbh. Some of those shots are fine for the vast majority but are likely a bit too risque for such a large group like FB, especially given the "family friendly" atmosphere it's designed to give off.

She should have simply linked to them from the FB page, or not posted them at all. If the images are the ones I have in mind, then they'd be great for the parents as clients, and fine for a portfolio or as art pieces, but not exactly suitable for FB.

Hate to say it, but Facebook was at least partially in the right here. There are better ways of solving the problem than deactivating an account (a warning, or image removal would be best), but they're not entirely wrong.

Seems like the people that fanned her page would know the type of work she does, so the family friendly thing doesn't fly. It's funny they will disable a page for some cleavage, but will not do anything about pages that are racist, or promote violence against elected officials.
I don't know. I think people need to be more responsible for what they view, and stop relying on outside sources telling them what is appropriate or not.
Oh well, they apologized and reinstated her page, so I guess it's all good now?

Thing of it is, she went to great lenghts to be sure the images were in line with FB requirements, and I think FB even admitted the images fell within the limits of these requirements..after the fact.. as OS stated she should have linked the images from her own business domain in the first place

+1

Because teenagers acting ****ty, racist a-holes, and violence are fine, but a natural process such as childbirth (or god forbid breast feeding) is inappropriate and not "family friendly".

In the words of the profit Sheila Broflowski: "Remember what the MPAA says: Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, just as long as people don't say any naughty words."
