Default Finished my 2010 project

Getting ready to send it off for printing. I did a sort of variation of p365 last year where I just allowed myself to take photos of the stuff that we did, not a photo a day. Then I made a page for my finished book every week with just a few highlight photos and some journaling. I am sure that the "scrapbook" look is not everyone's taste, but I am pretty happy with it.

I plan to do this project again this year in addition to a photo a day (that I will plan to put in a 2nd photobook). It was so easy to keep up with. I was already snapping pics of stuff that we did, since I forced myself to do one page a week, it was not overwelming to keep up with. Now our whole year's worth of events is right here, in one book.

Thank you!!
All of the backgrounds and little embellishments came from a digital scrapbooking store. I also got (from the same store) psd layered templates that made the layout of the pages pretty easy. I just clipped the photos and backgrounds to the templates, added text and some bling bling. And done!

So you just compiled them all in photoshop? Is that what I'm gathering?

Ahh neato!

My wife asked for something like that for Xmas and I got her Lightroom 3. I don't think she has the patience for the learning curve of CS5.

I ended up with Photojunction's software for her scrapbooking stuff.

I have never heard of Photojunction for scrapbooking. I'll have to look that up.

It's more for wedding albums, but unlike lightroom, you can save your entire project and keep working on it.

Nice work, Nicole! You definitely captured a variety of moments, large and small, silly and serious, and they're presented in a very appealing format. I can see why you intend to continue it. The book is a real gift to you and your family at the end of the year.

I like the idea of one page a week as the focus of the project. I may try a variation on it for myself this year. Thanks for the inspiration!
