Default New DSLR owner; and new to the site!
I frequent another newsgroup where one of the members posted the address to this DPS site. As I just received my first DSLR for Christmas and am feeling like a sponge to learn everything I can about it, I thought I'd pop in and sign-up.

Came with a stock 18-55mm lens. And "Santa" also gave me an additional Nikkor 55-300mm zoom lens.
Have the rest of the year off work, so I'm taking my 20 year old son out to shoot tomorrow. Won't really know what I'm doing, but hey, I figure I'll just try all sorts of stuff and I'll learn along the way.
