I have been attempting to upload a new avatar, but keep getting an "invalid file" issue....

My file is 79x79 and 8kb, jpg.....which should be within limits.

Could this be a related issue to the server?

I have seen a couple of posts where people are having problems posting photos from Photobucket & I didn't have any problem posting from Flickr which is essentially the same. So, there are probably still some issues going on here. I'll see if I can change my Avatar.

When I initially joined this forum my avatar showed up, but now it doesn't. It is 79 x 79 pixels and only 4kb. I have tried re-uploading it and pasting the link to flickr. Could the problem be that my avatar is a modification of a copyrighted cartoon (xantos from Gargoyles)?
