I use a PC. As for the software part, I really love Lightroom. It let's me play with all the shots I took at an event or in a certain day, syncing settings, correcting some tonal stuff and such. But when it comes to some serious post-processing I use Photoshop.

Default All of the Above

I've used all three at various points, with a variety of free, commercial, and self-written software. It all "worked", just with varying degrees of sophistication and the amount of manual work or scripting to glue things together.

Using Aperture 2 on a MacBook now, I find it needs a little less glue. Part of that is because it exports standard metadata like captions and keywords, which really helps when you're switching software or importing to web galleries.

I mostly use Linux with digikam, which is simply amazing to catalog, geotag, enhace photos and it also convert RAW files (in fact, it's very similar to lightroom, but it's opensource ) and then, for a harder retouching, i use the GIMP, which is not as good as photoshop but more than enough for me.

PC laptop at the moment. I'm looking to get a mid-spec Macbook specifically for audio/podcasting but I don't know if I'd want to shell out for another copy of CS3 on it though.

If I could get something like the Mac ChapterTool for the PC, I wouldn't need the Mac, except that Macs are cool.

I've used a mac in the past but now own a PC.
I use an ancient version of Photoshop (version 6.0....I REALLY need to update) and just started using RawShooter Essentials to process my RAW images.
I've tried using GIMP. It's a good OpenSource alternative to Photoshop but got I frustrated with the user interface.
