Default Eclipse on the way

New guy here...so mods, feel free to delete or put this thread where it really belongs.
We should have a great opportunity to shoot the lunar eclipse on Monday night/Tuesday Morning. I am just entering the DSLR world, so what are your suggestions or plans for capturing the event?

I have a link bookmarked from the last lunar eclipse I shot. It's most likely waaaaaay more information that you'll need but it's what I've got.

Back then, I had a Canon Powershot S3 so I couldn't control my settings completely. I was at ISO 400, wide angle, midrange f/stop (somewhere around f/8) and shots ranging from 3 to 8 seconds.

Two examples from the night:

Early on, when the shadow started to cover the moon


Completely covered
