Default surprise surprise

Has this happened to you ?You rush home from work all excited expecting a delivery of your new lens and flash. You have the shots you want to take all planed out in your head ,you carefully open the box only to find that they have sent the wrong order.
I cannot repeat on this forum what i said but it was not nice.
To cut a long story short i phoned the supplier and was told that this was the second order today that was stuffed up and that the new employee they hired yesterday must be dyslexic.Instead of order # ----49 he put order #----94 .
The manager was very apologetic and would send a courier to pick up the wrong order , meanwhile he would personally pack my correct order and send it express courier to me and that it should arrive the next day.
I would of liked to have tried out the 12-24 f4 lens they sent by mistake but the way my luck has been going lately i would of broken it and then i would of been out of pocket $1200 .Here,s hoping that it turns up today.
Just my rave . Thanks for bearing with me.

I feel your pain and its equally annoying when you expect a delivery and wait in all day for it and then go to the bathroom, come down stairs and and a card put though the door saying "Sorry we missed you". Arrrggghh I was friggin' in why didn't you knock harder or press the damn bell! and these always happen on a Friday and deliveries then are resent on Monday

Although I don't have the lack of ethics to do this myself here is a quote from here in the States if it were to happen here:

Your letter may discourage the seller from sending you repeated bills, or it may clear up an error. You may want to send the letter by certified mail and keep the return receipt and a copy of the letter. These records will help you establish later, if necessary, that you did not order the merchandise.

There are two types of merchandise that may be sent legally without your consent: free samples that are clearly marked as such; and merchandise mailed by charities asking for contributions. In either case, you may keep the shipments.

So you received a lens that was more expensive than the one you ordered? I would have shut the heck up and just sold it or kept it. Then placed another order and hope they F up again LOL.
