Hi, everybody.
I hope this the right forum to ask for this. I'm a mexican planning on flying from Phoenix to Boston in a couple of days. I already looked up for this in TSA website, but couldn't find anything about it. The thing is, I recently bought a Dolica tripod which has a spiked foot tip and until now I started wondering whether that would be a problem in the security chekpoints in an airport. Also, woulb any of the thing that normally go in a photo bag be an issue? What's the proper "protocol" for this kind of stuff? Am I going to have to take everything out of the bag at the chekpoint? I mean, the only thing I'm planning to take on hand is this photo bag: the camera, a couple of lenses, lens cleaning pen, spare battery, spare memory, a couple of UV and polarizing filters... yup, I think that pretty much sums it up I would really appreciate any light you could shed on this issue. Thank you very much!! |

My mistake... I just saw the answer a few threads down this very forum... my problem was the same as the other user. the search tool just doesn't seem to work right.
My apologies to all... how do I delete this thread? Does it have to be done by an admin? If so, you sure have my blessing to kill it. Traveling with a tripod in the in-hand baggage Last edited by lputman; 12-06-2010 at 07:41 PM. |
