I know this has nothing to do with photography but I still after 41 years cannot read the entire story to myself or my daughter (who I decided to read a nice Christmassy bedtime story to) without blubbing
![]() Its the bit where she strikes a match and her grandmother appears "who was the only one who truly loved her" and takes her to a place where there is no more cold, hunger, sadness or pain and carries her off to heaven. My daugher got me a bunch of tissues and said "are you crying tears of joy Mummy?". Its such a lovely festive story with real meaning. I just wish I could read it from start to finish without the tears.

Thanks for reminding us, Rachel.
I too have loved that story for years and think of it often. I weep for my own grandmother and all the needless suffering in the world instigated by mean and evil people. One could set up a photo-shoot with a little model. Might make a lovely Holiday card as well. |

I've done it again! I've watched A Christmas Carol dvd (the original) and got choked when Tiny Tim died.
