Default Shooting in a funeral home?

I've got an idea I'm wanting to try out, and a model that's all for it.

I'd love to use the embalming table, but I'm wondering if there might be health code issues.

I have a friend that owns a local funeral home, and plan on calling him Monday to see if it would be OK.

Basically I'd have a MUA make her up to look dead laying on the table, then have her redone to normal, and standing over her dead body.

Yes........I am in a dark and twisty mood.

Should I seek help?

Yes.

I think I would like to see this in high contrast B&W, by existing light, (even if it blows out the overhead light). Might want to reduce opacity of the layer with her standing.

Cool idea, but don't know if I'd tell anybody....

You probably won't find that at a funeral home but at a mortuary. Slight difference.

As for health code issues: likely not. The tables have to be disinfected every time anyways. Model might wanna take a shower fairly soon after though, as formaldehyde isnt good for living skin and smells awful.

Nope, they embalm the bodies right there. They will also burn them up on site if you want.

I'd already planned on lowering the opacity of the living shot.

I remember the smell of formaldehyde from having to cut up frogs in Science class.

If someone happens to bring another body in while y'all are doing the shoot it might freak them out. Especially if she lays there quietly until the others get close, then starts screaming.

I'd bet a room such as that will have some serious lighting. I was wondering about harsh shadows, but I think they might add to the final image.

That would be crazy cool with cross-processing.

You really are one sick sonofabitch. No wonder I like you.
