Default Organizing/Backing Up Photos

I was wondering how you guys organize your pictures. Like how you organize your raw pictures and your edited photos. And also how you guys back up your photos on a external hard drive.

As far as backing up goes, I use Karen's Replicator. I have it set up to run 2 jobs when I click on a created shortcut. Job #1 duplicates "My Pictures" on my C Drive to "My Pictures" on my M Drive. Job #2 duplicates "My Pictures" on my C Drive to "My Pictures" on my N Drive. I have 64 GBs(10,500 pictures) in this file & it runs both jobs in about 2 minutes.

I use Nikon's Capture NX2 for post work, so all edits are stored within the original NEF. Then, when I am done editing my files, I have Karen's Replicator duplicate everything to the other harddrives.

I use tags only for photos intended for stock.
I organize images in folders. First I go by years, then each years has subfolders named by sessions. It's far from perfect but it's manageable.

I keep RAWs and jpgs in the same folders with the same names. DigiKam gives a nice option for filtering RAWs out or showing only them so it's fine.

I like that...
I'm just beginning to run into some severe issues with finding stuff. So far I have named the folders by event, but just dumped them into a general pictures folder. Since I have been doing digital for several years, its getting confusing.
