Thanks for posting this, not often I look at portfolios and really enjoy what I find. I love the way he uses darkness and ensuing contrasts. Gorgeous.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the shout, Photologyst - I'm glad you like my portfolio! It's rather out of date just now and I'm planning on replacing and updating it when I do a fairly major site update in the next few months. For now, my photoblog at Dave Wilson Photography contains my latest work including a couple of recent projects documenting Johnson Space Center's Saturn V rocket and the University of Texas Longhorn Band.

You are welcome, Dave!

I especially like this gallery: Dave WilsonPhotography - Texas Images

The Houston architecture photos, especially the Chevron tower, are really, really superb.

I like that you shoot from unusual angles.

Looking forward to your new site.

They did a Saturn V replica there too? Theres one back home in Huntsville AL, you can see it from anywhere in the city, as long as theres nothing in your way of the view. LOVE your site too. I've been wanting to venture down to Austin to snap some shots, but I'm kinda scared to go down there by myself. I've wanted to check out the Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge too,...some day, I'll eventually get down there, and Dallas too. (It's a bit further though)

If you are down in Austin, drop me a line. There are many, many photographers here who are ready to head out on impromptu photo walks with visitors to the city so you wouldn't have to worry about shooting by yourself!

It seems that great photo sites and great photography go hand in hand.

Some great portrait photographers:

Linnea Lenkus Video: Nude Photography, Portrait Studios, Southern California

Really different: New York Celebrity Portrait Photographer Thaddeus Harden

Black & White: Black White Portrait Photography Los Angeles

Outdoor portraits: All Outdoor Photography, Boise Wedding and Outdoor Portrait Photographer

Fabulous faces of those who have lived a bit and some who burn the candle at both ends: Slim Letaief Photography
