Just wanted to let you know that this is one of the most amazing pies I have ever tasted.
I may or may not have had three pieces of it today It is also possible that I might have forbid my family from eating any more of it so that I can have all of the rest for myself

That looks delish - and what a fun-filled recipe write up!

A pity I wouldn't know where to start looking for some of the ingredients.

Hope you're having a great thanksgiving day with your family, Nicole.

Thank you! I did have a great day, with minimal arguing, LOL. It wasn't my fault. My mother in law started it.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo,.....that looks yummy! ( Had my slice of pumpkin pie at Cracker Barrel. )
Here's another,.. though its not pumpkin. This Recipe is from an old Betty Crocker cookbook that my mother-in-law has.

Pink Peppermint Pie Recipe - Food.com - 236191

I usually forgo the crushed peppermint candy,....I usually use red sugar crystal or the peppermint sugar crystals that they have now. You can make it with chocolate graham cracker too,...and if you wanted to make it for another occasion,... like valentines day, you could add a different flavoring, and different toppings, Like shaved chocolate. Chocolate bar + vegetable peeler= Shaved chocolate. I watch too much Food Network,.. lol.

So, I'm not a huge pumpkin fan but that pie did look good...maybe the husband will try it. I may have to try that peppermint pie though!

Since we're in a recipe sharing mood here's the Apple Cranberry Pie that I made for Thanksgiving. It was really tasty and a hit with the family. In case you try it, I did have to double up on the corn starch. Other than that, just followed the recipe.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Now the question is, "Did you add the alcohol?"

All I had was Southern Comfort (my favorite) and I was unsure if that would work with the orange flavors. It probably would have tasted fine, but I decided against it at the last minute.

I bought the Pioneer Woman's cookbook not to make anything, but to look at the food photos and read the funny remarks. She does have a good sense of humor!

I know! I had to have it too. Pretty much all of the recipes are available for free on her website, but I just love the book anyways. She is fantastic photographer and such a funny lady. I love love love the very last page that says "The End" It made me LOL!!
