Default It's Been Nearly 23 Years..

Since I've held a video camera in my hands, But I was asked to video an event last thursday evening.. Persons I spoke with said they would have all the necessary equipment on hand and at my disposal.. However after arriving.. The equipment they promised was less then inferior..

Luckily I had my ole stand by (Kodak M1093), never leave home with out it.. I checked the Batteries and it said I could video for 16 mins.. as the night progressed I waited for the right moment to capture the images I needed within the alloted amount of time..

Using my camera handle I created.. I stepped into the action.. My wife's brother was playing a concert and I was hoping to captures some wonder video. I did.. for about the first 5 mins.. My arms nearly gave out..

Because of my nerve damage and two forms of CTS I snuggled to capture anything for another 10 mins.. Nearly losing my grasp a few times.. I was able to get three short videos of him singing and playing his guitar.

After arriving home.. I headed for the computer.. I worked through the night and at or about 4:30 in the morning I was able to separate the three videos, create a DVD add still shoots and other tidbits.. What was disappointing.. I thought I could do better.. at times the video was shaky or the sound was to loud..

But one thing I going to do to correct the way I video next time.. Is I'm current;y working on creating a "hover" types system that I can add to my camera handle.. With a weighted bottom and balanced center of gravity.. I hope to have something similar to the "Steady Cam" systems.

Later, I'll incorporate an arm splint or should splint that will allow me to hold the camera longer.. But along with this story.. Two photography companies have told me they are speaking with their engineers about trying to redesign my handle.. Not sure the out come other them once I get the hover device down.. I should be set for the time being.
