Default Need help finding a post

I was looking through some post last week and came across one showing a picture of what's similar to a fish eye lens. The pictures was edited in some kind of program.I remember it was of trees in a circle. I believe they had posted a link showing where one could go to learn how to do it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows where this post or a link to the program is, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with me. Thanks so much.

No, that's not the thread but the picture looks kind of like what I was talking about.
I have been searching online and found some pictures that look like a crystal ball. I think that's more of what I was looking for but can't find a tutorial on how to make one.

Sounds like it might be one of these:

My guess:

360x180 Polar Panoramas

This is... umm... nontrivial as a form of shooting and post-processing.
