Why is the header black and the body blue? It's not the greatest of colour combinations and would look a lot sleeker in a all black.

Capitals are important, even in the left hand menu.
Don't use spaces in the web page URL, just don't.
You will regret having a real e-mail address on the contact page. Use a form instead so your inbox does not fill to capacity with spam.
You should make the name of the gallery a link as well as the image below it.
When they view a gallery make your name a link back to your home page.
Are those photos preloading when viewing a gallery? People are fine with waiting a little while for the photo they clicked to download. The bigger the galleries get the more unrequested bandwidth you are stealing will piss people off.
The order of the left hand menu would be better as:
  1. Home
  2. Galleries
  3. Upcoming shows
  4. Pricing
  5. Contact
  6. About me
Does your hosting allow PHP? When I was mucking about with web pages I had PHP pages that contained the code for the header, menu and footer. The individual pages then called the functions to create those elements.

If I needed to change any of those sections that were duplicate across the entire site I would only have to change a single PHP file, all pages that called on that file would then automagically change.

You need to sit down with a good publicist/copy writer. Sentences like "I have done photography in numerous fields" will not attract the audience you're trying to reach.

I suppose I should reword somethings. My wife is an editor and has yet to even look at it.

"Works well, organized well, and it's fast But god is it ugly.'

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, but not bad for one day. It will get more honed more, thanks for at least being honest.

"I agree, but overall nice job!!!!! "

Thanks it will get better

"Capitals are important, even in the left hand menu."

Tux I will take the rest of what you wrote into consideration. Off to go correct it. Also the host does offer hosting of php, I just have no clue on how to work with it and would rather spend the next 2 years shooting than learning code.

"Why is the header black and the body blue? It's not the greatest of colour combinations and would look a lot sleeker in a all black. "

I will consider it and give it a try. I suppose it looks like a big bruise right now.

It is being hosted on fatcow.com Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, they will help me further hone the website.

another 2 cents....when you rewrite your content you might consider adding text links to the inside pages, so google and the like will have an easier time getting from page to page..might also want to rename you pages from the likes of about.html to something along the lines of wisconsin-wedding-photographer.html to get some extra heavy search terms in the url...NO SPACES use - or _

Also consider taking advantage of the alt tag for your navigation buttons...

I will consider this = I will do this. I just had not thought of the url naming for search engines. I figure it will be another week before I submit to search engines. I want their information to show correctly and the site is just not ready to be listed. Just added some key words this morning (less than 10 so it is sort of lame). With a site like this it is so hard to get keyword saturation because it has very little text; which is why I am sure you are saying that I should use the alt tags.

Thanks for the pointers
