Default What is the world coming to....

traumatising a 3 year old in the name of safety

Video of TSA Screener Accosting 3 Year Old Child at Security Checkpoint

If you havn't heard, The TSA put new procedures in effect.... they now don't use the back of their hands to check for concealments, its a finger and palm search.

makes me sick

I am all for this plan! More men should wear kilts.

But that was an awful way to treat that little girl.

Slightly OT but,

The TSA requirements and yemen mail bomb thing has caused the Japan post to ban airmail to the united states that weights more than 16 ounces. - Way way too many losses in the name of security.

Who is the TSA actually helping anyway?

This has been happening since 9/11. The only thing new is the scanners. I have seen old men and women in wheelchairs being searched, children and their toys. . . while certain other folks get to walk through.

I flew abroad a few days after 9/11. Same treatment. Every time I fly, which is often, I have been physically searched as has my carryon luggage. The TSA love to take everything apart and drop stuff on the floor, throw things out, etc. I fit the profile of a female, Nordic looking blonde terrorist.

The first time the actual terrorists use a child as a human bomb on a flight—all bets are off.

Agreed. Can`t find the article, but I read of a 90ish year old being searched. I myself, A teen that could pass for 12 if I really tried, got searched twice, on the same flight.

No, these are new rules that have been implemented.
"enhanced pat down" means they stick their fingers in your groin and feel under your breats.

Yes, there are new rules. And full body scanners that apparently save your naked image! I always loved flying - now, not so much!
