The Isle of Skye; sunset from Coire Laggan, sunrise from Loch Cuirisk, Cuillin ridge at dawn. Usually have a bike instead of a tripod up there though....Skye is gnarly enough to make the world cup downhill course at Fort William feel tame! It's a special place

South American jungles with my macro gear would be nice too....as would Vietnam and lots of other places.

The goal is to use pretty much exactly the same lighting and background so that the image is only about the subject.

Problem is, I've never lived in a place longer than 4 consecutive years.

So I'll try to find another long term project.
But that'd be my goal right now.
Kind of off topic but have you ever heard of or seen the "Seven Up" documentary series? The filmmakers followed a group of people from age 7 until I believe 56. They made a new film every seven years and it is really interesting to see how the children grow up and either feed into or go completely against your perception of them during their early years. Your project reminded me of it, it's something you may like. The only problem is finding the time to watch all of it!

Thanks Zannie, I'll definitely check it out, sounds interesting. And makes me think I'd love to add a video element to my project.. now all I need to do is buy a 5d MkII !!!

I'd love to do a series of people who have 'lived' and whose faces tell the story of their lives.

Not sure if thats just old and craggy people or people with facial disfigurements following injuries or what but im very into faces and the stories they tell.

So i guess that'd be it. Line me up a whole load of people who've lived a hard life

Doing high-speed water shoots with multiple flashes in a large open building all to myself and a friend.

i'd also want to be using the new open source Frankencamera that is expected to be released in about a month so i could trigger my own customizable sequence of flash bursts at different rates and light levels.

that would be.. photographic extremism right there.

I would have to say any place I can go and take what I like to call my "Signature Shot." Where ever I go I find a landmark of sorts lay down on the ground and take the picture from the ground. I have several of these shots so far. One of the Washington Monument, the Space Needle in Seattle, and Spaceship Earth at EPCOT. I also to a pic of one o the monoliths(Leave a Legacy) in front of EPCOT by the front entrance. I laid my camera on the curve of one set and took the shot. It turned out great. This sort of like taking a picture of a road with the road as your middle focal point. If anyone would like to see them let me know.

I would love to be in a situation in which I could do street for a month solid.

Sorry, things are so upside down for me financially that it is hard to think of a "dream shoot".

i recently went to see Metallica in Sydney - and they had a photographer on stage with them the whole concert.. the band members posing for him everything - that would be a dream....

or touring with someone like Trent Reznor - like Rob Sheridan does - doing album covers, posed location shoots, and concert photography - i dont think it would get better than that!

Totally agree. Being paid to tour with a band and do photography for it would freaking rock (pun intended).
