Politics has invaded Dancing With the Stars.
Bristol Palin, the lovely, chunky, klutzy daughter of airhead Sarah Palin—who was at the bottom of the leader board virtually every week and easily the worst of all the "celebrity" dancers — Bristol, who can’t dance her way out of a paper bag, is going to the finals. The Tea Baggers have even invaded the dancing venue. They voted for Palin, the klutz, instead of talented, graceful, skilled Brandy. Why? Politics! What exactly makes Bristol a "celebrity," getting pregnant out of wedlock and being proud of it? Shades of the Bush non-elections and the Supreme Court shenanigans. So much for democracy, meritocracy and may the best man win.

LOL...I just have to laugh at the absurdity of one finding a hidden right-wing conspiracy in a ridiculous reality show. November still smarts a bit, huh?

This is not high school! There were many more talented people than Bristol on that show. She should have been eliminated long ago. It is strictly Tea Party politics—nothing else. Quote:
It’s about stupid, ignoramuses who are clueless about reality in politics and even more clueless about dancing. Fools who believe that “so******m” is in HC reform or that taxes have gone up, when they have actually gone down, would vote for a hippo if it were a republican tea bagger. “This year has not been about the dancing,” said Johnny Avello, chief oddsmaker for the Wynn Las Vegas casino, who follows the voting and figured Palin had a 4-to-1 chance to stay in the competition. “This year is about popularity, and whether it’s the Republican Party or whoever, Bristol Palin is getting more votes despite being the worst dancer.” Bristol Palin Overcomes Low Scores to Reach ‘Dancing’ Finals - BusinessWeek |

Bitter much? The same could be said of the voters in the opposite party that voted for a man to be leader of the free world with no executive qualifications, who has proven that he is only really good at running for office, but when it comes time to actually lead he hasn't a clue. Again I have to laugh at the absurdity of one who bought into the glitter, glam, and nebulous promise of hope and change making fun of the other side. Whatever makes you happy I guess, I'm a Libertarian so I have no horse in this race, just have to shake my head at the idiots on both sides of the aisle that are worrying about nonsense like this while country tanks. BTW, taxes will be going up by a significant amount in the new year if the idiots in DC do not quit bickering over partisan nonsense and get to work on things that actually matter.

I'm not going to even touch the politics here.
Um.. isn't this a vote-in competition where the viewers call-in and vote for whom they like? If so, all this tells you is that people who like Bristol, for whatever reason, are voting for her a lot. Popularity contests are always politics aren't they? I find it funny that someone who lambasts people who chose to spend lots of time on social networks is on here talking about politically motivated "fixes" on a reality dancing show. ![]() Just 'cause you watch a "reality" show, doesn't mean you're in touch with reality.

Damn it it I hadn`t watched that episode yet!
Still there`s no politics in a dance show. Maybe popularity contests, maybe America has no judgment (American idol is constant reminder of that )But never fear, Jenifer will win
